President's Report:
On Saturday, 30th May, PE Lyn, PE Ross, Secretary Roger, and I attended the Pre PELDS (Presidents Elect Learning and Development Seminar) at the Dog Racing Track in Sale. Key topics included a speech by DGE Emma Clark and updates from District representatives on all Avenues of Service. Ross, Lyn, and I gathered valuable material, which we will share with members at the start the Rotary year.
Last Monday, instead of the usual dinner meeting, Rotary members were invited to participate in an online 'Do Food Safely' course led by Robin and Kate Noakes. Attendees included Maureen Bishop, Dave Wood, Annette Mikecz, Kate Noakes, and myself. Everyone successfully completed the course and earned a certificate. We wrapped up the evening enjoying pizza and wine together.
President Alan
Do Food Safely.
A happy gang of 6 gathered at the Noakes's on Monday 1st June to do the online DoFoodSafely course.
At the end of the evening Alan and Maureen Bishop, Dave Wood, Annette Mikecz, plus Kate and Robin Noakes had all achieved the required 90% pass.
The reward was really hot pizza and some bevies. Kept the wet wintry evening rolling along nicely.
Ross Maxfield and Lyn Cassar had previously attended a Latrobe Council run session. Helen Morrison is recently accredited through her Meals on Meals work.
This means a significant portion of the Club are up to date with accreditation. Well done.
